It has been five days since we arrived in India, and so far it has been absolutely wonderful. All the IVAT staff on the ground have taken very good care of us, in a professional and friendly manner.
I will outline the key aspects and comments/suggestions from our trip so far
We fully enjoyed the visit to Bhaktapur, and despite a long drive to the Mountain Resort for lunch, the view from the table was incredible. What was probably too much for us (specially for the ones who had woken up at 5:00a.m.) was the trip to see Patan. The traffic was infernal and the situation with the street vendors/hagglers was uncomfortable and annoying -- they did not leave us in peace during the entire visit.
On the last day, we visited the old city, saw the Kumani, and ended the tour by seeing the largest stupa in the world (forgot the name). In our opinion, this is a must see place, and should be in every itinerary (also, wonderful for shopping -- with no hagglers!).
Please realize that our trip has been wonderful so far with the exception of the airport section. Obviously some things are beyond your control, such as the rigorous (and numerous) security checks, long lines, etc. We think it would be of invaluable help if you could have an agent who helps you clear the 'airport bureaucracy' much faster -- like a Fast Track or VIP treatment. The airport portion becomes an important one when you have people trying to cover a lot of cities in one trip, like us, and that would make the journey a much more pleasant and relaxing one.
I again want to reiterate how pleased we are with your services, and look forward to many more highlights in the days to come.
